This was a 2022 comic book project I was developing.

Prosthetic limb design (personal project)
I designed an arm and wanted to showcase it as the design for an Indian teenager.
Fashion over function in this case as the hand is static, but the arm utilises osseointegration,
a new technology that connects the prosthesis into the bone.

The limitations of our cultural lens. The individualistic view has missed out on key scientific ideas in the past, as has a collectivist view; neither is a perfect frame for viewing science. I chose China as the collectivist magnifying glass and the UK as the individualistic magnifying glass, as their both fairly recognisable candidates for each view point.
Each magnifying glass depicts the different problems. The single tree that doesn't see the rest of the thick forest, showing a hyper focus that misses out on the collective forest details. The bunch of trees, failing to see in between to smaller details.

Tiny Owls and Tiny Snakes: Strangest of Bedfellows?
Eastern screech owls will bring Texan blind snakes back to their nest alive, to eat pests and keep it clean. I was over the moon to paint owls and depict this adorable little snake.
Illustration for the front cover of BLUESCI magazine
during the pandemic.
The cover depicts scientists intrepidly heading into research by heading down test tubes and tackling big scientific problems. The theme of therapeutic development is loud and clear here as scientists rush around developing cures and vaccines. There is a nod to scientific policy and publishing as they carry files to where they need to go. The phone is hanging down and ringing off the hook to symbolise ongoing public engagement and misinformation.
It was a great puzzle to work out how to represent each of the articles in one singular illustration.

Murder Mystery
Front cover design for a personal project I was working on earlier this year. Had great fun working on the character designs & environments, to tell the story.
